Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)

Motorcycles can depreciate in value quickly—sometimes quicker than you can pay off the loan. This could leave you on the hook financially if your new bike is totaled or stolen and not recovered. Ensure you are covered by signing up for GAP.

Our MEMBER'S CHOICE® Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Plus coverage includes $1,000 towards your down payment on a replacement motorcycle when financed by CCCU within 60 days after your primary insurance company issues a settlement check.

Be sure to ask about GAP when you apply for your CCCU Motorcycle Loan to learn how this coverage can protect you and your family.

Frequently Asked Questions About Motorcycle Loans

How do you get a motorcycle loan?

Getting a motorcycle loan with CCCU is fast and easy, especially when you apply online. You can also visit a CCCU branch.

Prequalify for a motorcycle loan by contacting our Consumer Loans team. You may be required to fax or email scanned copies of certain documents, like income verification, in order to prequalify. Once prequalified, we'll send the closing paperwork to your local CCCU branch so you can sign the documents. If you are unable to visit a branch, the documents may be sent through DocuSign. Your loan officer will work with you to make the process as easy as possible.

Is it hard to get a motorcycle loan?

Some financial institutions may make it difficult to get a motorcycle loan, but at CCCU we make it easy. In a few minutes, you can apply online, over the phone, or in person at a branch.

Is a motorcycle loan an auto loan?

No, while these loans use the same application process, a motorcycle loan is different from an auto loan. You would get a motorcycle loan for a cruiser, sport, touring or dual-purpose motorcycle, and the rates and terms would likely be different from what you would get with an auto loan.

Can you refinance a motorcycle loan?

Yes, you can! At CCCU we offer motorcycle loan refinancing options if you are looking to lower your interest rate or your monthly payment. You'll need to fill out a loan application. A CCCU loan officer will then review your application, and if you qualify for a lower interest rate, we will work with you to set your new loan terms. Once approved, we'll send the closing paperwork to your local CCCU branch. If you are unable to visit a branch, the documents may be sent through DocuSign. Your loan officer will work with you to make the process as easy as possible.
