AUTO TOOLS

Buying a new vehicle can be overwhelming. Use the resources below to learn more about the products and services that are out there to keep your loan and your new auto in tip-top shape.

EXTENDED WARRANTY

INSURING YOUR NEW ASSET
Your vehicle is a major investment; help avoid unexpected losses by protecting yourself. Consolidated Community Credit Union wants to help ensure your investment is taken care of by providing access to Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP).

EXTENDED WARRANTY
An Extended Warranty provides protection against mechanical breakdown and costly repairs beyond your existing manufacturer’s warranty.

GAP PLUS

MEMBER’S CHOICE® Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
MEMBER’S CHOICE Guaranteed Asset Protection Plus helps ease your financial burden by paying the potentially high-cost difference between your insurance settlement and your loan balance on items directly related to the purchase of your vehicle. It also includes $1,000 toward your down payment on a replacement vehicle when financed by your credit union within 60 days after your primary insurance company issues a settlement check.

LOAN PROTECTION

Whether you’re taking out a loan for home improvements or to buy a vehicle, it can be a financial gamble because things happen...life happens. You don’t want delinquent payments and defaulted loans to cause you to lose your assets, negatively impact your credit rating, or cause financial distress for your family.

PLAY IT SAFE
Loan protection is a voluntary loan payment product that helps you get relief from the financial burden of delinquency, default, or foreclosure if a protected life event unexpectedly happens to you.

Protected Events Include:

  • Loss of life, including those caused by acts of war
  • Disability, including those caused by acts of war
  • Involuntary unemployment

If you would like more information about loan protection, please contact a CCCU Loan Officer.

CREDIT REPORTS

FREE ANNUAL CREDIT REPORT
Thanks to the Fair Accurate Credit Transaction Act, all Americans have the right to obtain one FREE credit report annually. It is important to take advantage of this opportunity. Negative information on your credit report will lower your credit score, which in turn increases your interest rate on future borrowings, or even results in credit denial.

Once you are eligible, you can get your free credit report by going to www.annualcreditreport.com. After you receive your credit report, look it over closely. If anything appears on the report that is not yours, contact each of the three credit reporting agencies immediately.

IDENTITY THEFT
Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the U.S., and understandably, everyone wants to stabilize and protect their finances and credit.

If you want to view your credit or set up a "fraud detector" on your credit report, you have the tools available through the credit reporting agencies below. Please contact these credit reporting agencies immediately if you believe you have become a victim of identity theft.
